Fantasy Factor

Fantasy Factor

Being the first of three sporting sites, Fantasy Factor was built from the ground up using several different technologies. All the javascript had to be built as a jQuery plugin, so that way it could be dynamic enough to be run on all three sites.

Linea Pelle

Linea Pelle

As an E-commerce website, there were many challenges to face when building the Linea Pelle website. I first had to learn how to work with the behemoth that is, the Magento framework. From there, I was then given designs for the catalog and detail pages, and I then had to build them out and make them cross-browser-compatible. Once that was complete, I then got to work with Ajax and I got to make a "mini-cart".

Santa Ana College Basic Fire Academy

Santa Ana College Basic Fire Academy

Information can be very useful, but too much of it can be overwhelming. I myself went though this fire academy and I realized very fast that I was not fully prepared. The original website had mountains of information which was not organized well. This caused me to lose interest in reading it. To solve this issue, I used javascript to condense the same exact information. This made it much easier to read, without losing the much needed content.

Bahramdipity

Bahramdipity

The Bahramdipity project was a team project involving 1 person doing the design of the website, while the other person did the programming of the website. Once the website was designed using Photoshop and Illustrator, it was handed off to the programmer to take that visual reference, and then program it out using Dreamweaver and WampServer.

Sheila Murray Portfolio

Sheila Murray Portfolio

This portfolio website was built for a fellow graduate from The Art Institute. This particular graduate was in the culinary department and asked for a website to display the different food products that she has created. The challenge for this particular project was how to visually display her creations. Through the use of photoshop and illustrator, I was able to recreate a table setting which compliments her work and makes them even more tasty.

Jason's Graduation

So who am I and what do I do?

My name is Jason Almeida, and I am a web programmer. I specialize in finding creative programming solutions while utilizing a variety of different programming languages. From javascript to php, I can provide your company with custom built websites using the latest up to date standards. In addition to front end programming, I work in MySQLi for a back end database. This makes updating your website a breeze when you combine the front end design, with the backend CMS.

What separates me from other web programmers, is my problem solving skills. There are times when I am asked to do things in which I have never done before. In situations like that, I first write down exactly what the client wants. After brainstorming several potential solutions, I write out a broken down, verbal translation of what I want to accomplish. And finally, I take that guideline and execute it using whichever programming language(‘s) necessary to complete the task at hand.
